We are in September, one of the biggest months for Fashion. First, the Fashion Night Out this week plus the start of NY fashion Week. We are so thrilled and eager to see all the new collections and have Great Expectations on these SS 13 Womenswear collections. Actually, one the Fashion Weeks we are expecting the most is the London one because London is in our DNA!
TOPSHOP X JW ANDERSON collaboration is a perfect entrée en matière! It's absolutely wonderful ! It proves that London deserves its place in the fashion weeks calendar and thanks to the Bristish Council of Fashion that created a menswear and a womenswear week, London designers have a different story to tell. Thus, JW Anderson has created a sophisticated collection that gives a unique version of a modern woman, something that stands out and perhaps it is what we can call Britishness: " I have worked on this collection with my sister in my mind, because I wanted it to be accessible. I feel like we are at a time where we want a fanfare; something fun, accessible and easy. I approached it in the same way I do all my collections. It was unique and has some really iconic pieces. I wanted it to be the idea of what a JW Anderson store could be."
There are many showstoppers that we are sure women could die for and actually we are craving for some pieces too!
This collection offers a complete wardrobe for the Fall to come and it's not boring at all! It is also a good alternative for the dark-themed collections. We are yearning for the varsity jacket (we'd love to have our initials embroidered on it!!), the oversized long shirt that we can wear under a quilted paisley top (why not pushing the envelop and be adventurous?!) or under the cat'eyes jumper. We are obsessed with prints and patterns so we can go for the entire printed t-shits (Landscape, check and naive prints) but our banker won't like it...snif snif. The worst thing : it's an affordable and limited collection so our advise is to keep in mind it will launch on September14th and will concide with the beginning of London Fashion Week. Be Prepared !
