Fast retailer H& M is to collaborate with Isabel Marant. After Martin Margiela we were expecting the Swedish group to go on in the same way, choosing another luxury brand with an avant-garde aesthetics, bringing into focus unconventional design for the common good. But Margiela with H&M was not a big commercial success. People were not ready for Margiela in a sense that some aesthetics are not for all even if it is the purpose of all these collaborations. This November, everybody will be satisfied. Isabel Marant X H&M will be a huge success, there is no doubt about it. We were a bit disappointed (we've heard at a time that H&M will work with Givenchy but only rumours... Alas!). We've been dreaming of another avant-garde collection, having a long list of designers in our mind... Why don't they choose Christopher Kane? You guys all have heard about Kane and his work, haven't you?
Kane is a brilliant British designer, graduated from Central Saint Martins, creating both men and women collections since 2006. Kane is famously known for his work on prints that he loves to play with, especially for the men collections. We have in mind the galactic prints from resort 2011 and the maze of electric wires (SS2012). For his AW13-14 Collection, Kane wanted to tell a horror story, featuring evil characters that you'll find in horror movies (Frankenstein creature, Dracula and the Creature from the black lagoon). Here the evil is not very frightening but funny! These evil characters are like Pop star heroes! Our favourite is the Frankenstein printed t-shirt, definitely a must-have!
This collection is available in all the online luxury fashion retailers but we are sure that it will be out of stock very soon!
