We came across PATH thanks to Fucking Young which supports them by posting the Chinese/German brand Spring Summer 2014 lookbook on their website. We also want to support Path and to learn more about the designer in charge of the collection, Janine Grosche a German born designer based in Beijing. Obviously, it is quite a unique path! Janine Grosche defines her brand as an archetype of modern man and it's the feeling you've got detailing this Spring Summer 2014 lookbook. The brand is the result of several influences from rebellious youth subcultures to music and art, but also from classic menswear to sportswear delivering a radical and bold vision of men's wardrobe.

Her SS2014 'Presence' collection stresses on shapes, luxury fabrics and prints which has a strong impact on us. There is the hyper sophistication of printed tops and coats made of silk, the sharpness of the black and white, the sportswear details and the slightly oversized shapes, all these elements stand out. Grosche plays with sporty finishes, the idea of luxury and takes it to another level, breaking with traditional menswear. The collection goes from clinic minimalism to graphic maximalism starting with a clean white mixed with a black palette then turning to a black and white check and ending with printed black and white logo pieces and printed patchwork pieces. It is difficult to express all the emotions we've got from Grosche's work, but we couldn't help writing about her because we worship her aesthetics and we definitely want to support her. We can't take our eyes off the boldness of the printed pieces and are obsessed with the logo printed pieces and the white and black check pieces. Path is a young menswear label deserving to be on everyone's lips.
