W.A.R.M. TOP 10 #PFW SS17 SPECIAL

Making this TOP 10 was tricky! This is the less we can say. It's always hard to choose which Paris collections to feature because there are so many ones and they are so different. Only in Paris you can find the metaphorical, almost metaphysical world of Comme des Garçons and the bling bling gang of Balmain. Or the street runway of Koché and the big big Chanel show at Grand Palais. Paris is a city of contrast, of differences, beautiful ones that should be kept religiously.
This Spring Summer 2017 season was crucial for Fashion with the beginnings of Vaccarello at Saint Laurent (some looks were definitely worth-watching but it was too much Vaccarello and not enough YSL as far as we're concerned), of Bouchra Jarrar at Lanvin (hard to forget the Elbaz era but this was, by far, the most convincing start) and of Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior. The Dior subject is a tough one and the least we can say is that we did not like her collection at all. This whole Feminist thing seemed so artificial as if all the designers before her had known nothing about women, about a woman's body. This is just so silly. And those slogan tees... And these fencer outfits... We are already missing Raf Simons so much...
Anyway, let's talk about the collections we truly loved, those who left us astounded, in love, bedazzled.
